16 x 96 pixels (either 19 characters by two
rows, or 9 double size characters by one row), 1-1/2 inch dot pitch matrix
message board. Four LEDs per pixel. Super
Bright 100 degree viewing angle LED display. Outdoor or indoor use. LEDs last up
to 100,000 hours. Communicates with either a PC or hand held control
box using RS-485 cable, or through the
power line, or 2.4GHz spread spectrum RF, or fiber optic cable. Solid
aluminum welded frame with tough powder coat finish. Impact resistant
polycarbonate plastic front. Weatherproof easy to install and only 4
inches thick. Unit is 28” tall x 148" wide x 4" deep. Approximate
weight is 150 lbs. Uses approximately 12 amps @ 120 volts AC.

Control program and interface supplied when using a PC to control the
message board, otherwise uses supplied control box. Can store up to
160 messages of 50 characters each. Can display and combine messages
in any order. Can schedule display of up to three groups of single or
multiple messages. Specific messages can be displayed on any line
desired. Has three brightness levels which can be changed manually or
on a schedule. Can scroll right or left at three different speeds.
Can flash on and off individual messages or a single word in a message.
Ability to add a new message while other messages are concurrently being
displayed. Two different preprogrammed fonts of 8 pixels tall x 4
pixels wide and 7 pixels tall x 5 pixels wide are provided. Bitmapped
graphics and customized characters may also be displayed. They may be
edited in Microsoft Paint or a similar program. Time and optionally temperature
can be displayed separately or incorporated into messages. Speed of
moving objects can be displayed with optional radar gun unit.
